3. Caister Clubroom - too many sets to mention but ones that stick
out are firstly - OCT 2001 late night in the club room after playing
an hour of soulful house, dropping my remix of 'Always there' and
then finishing off with 'Kings of tomorrow's - 'Finally', and everybody
singing the opening verse before going crazy. and secondly any of
the sets I've done preceding or following Frostie
in the afternoon sessions.
4. Opening night at the Rex in Stratford-playing alongside Froggy,
& live pa's including Odyssey & the late great Edwin Starr,
The biggest stage in London filled with nothing but us & a set
of decks and a few thousand people in front of us. - Shame the venue
went downhill with the new owners, but great memories.
5. Main Room Caister- I get a lot of stick for playing early sets
in the main room, but their is nothing like playing in that big
room on a big sound especially on the first night, their is always
a great atmosphere in there especially as people enter the room
for their first time of weekend and get stuck into it! For some
reason ive always been given a two hour slot early evening and I
love it! Gives me a chance to mix it up in the main room with the
old and the new & give everyone a taste of what they will hear
over the weekend and you can guarantee they'll be a busy dancefloor
by the end of the set.
6. Clacton 98 - one ofFrosties hotel
get togethers and when it comes to playing a pure soul set im constantly
reminded by people of my first time at Clacton.
It was only a 45-minute set but apparently it was a goodun!
